For as long as I can remember, I have loved dogs. Just being around them has always brought me joy. I found training fascinating. I wanted to know the secret of communicating well with these awesome animals. When I decided to pursue a career in dog training, I wanted to be sure I started right. My research into dog trainer schools led me to the National K-9 School for Dog Trainers in Columbus, Ohio. The founder, Scott Mueller, was a pioneer in the field. I completed the Master Trainer course and became certified in 12 areas of professional dog training.
That was an excellent start, but I wanted more. I wanted to hone and perfect my skills so that I could help more people help their dogs. I attended a trainer’s workshop at K9 Workshops in Ohio to add to my dog training knowledge. Every year since, I have continued to learn, studying with seasoned professionals around the country. In any field, there is always something more to learn, and I continue to expand my ability to read dogs and teach people to relate to them effectively.
I have never regretted my decision to pursue this career. It brings me great joy to better the lives of dogs and their owners by building balanced relationships. Give me a call to discuss how I can help you and your dog.
